The Department of Homeland Security hosts a website called "Responder Knowledge Base" where it advertises a wide variety of military, law enforcement and first responder tools. Local and state law enforcement are authorized to buy any of these technologies with DHS funds. You can see a whole host of these tools here.
The following pieces of equipment enable covert video surveillance; James Bond-like, they are made to look like everyday objects.
