In early August 2012, the ACLU of Massachusetts filed public records requests with eight police departments in the Commonwealth to learn about how they are using license plate recognition technology. These requests were part of a national, coordinated public records campaign involving 39 ACLU affiliates and the national organization. We will post the responsive records from Massachusetts agencies here as they are released.
