The latest Juice Rap News features a segment on the Trans Pacific Partnership, a new so-called 'free trade' deal being worked out in secret by the United States and various Pacific nations. Among other things, the TPP would restrict the US congress from imposing certain regulations on transnational corporations. The details of the trade deal have been negotiated in secret, although Wikileaks published drafts of portions of the agreement. President Obama wants to fast-track the proposal in the US congress, meaning that our legislators wouldn't even have a chance to meaningfully review or make adjustments to the bill before they vote on it.
