Opaque and anti-democratic: the US drone war under the microscope

The ACLU and the Center for Constitutional Rights are suing the government, demanding that it provide the public with information about how it operates its various semi-secret drone programs. Right now the drone war is shrouded in uncertainty, and as a result much of the conversation in the clip above centers on core disagreements about the facts on the ground. 

While the Bureau of Investigative Journalism and human rights attorney Shazad Akbar allege that the US strikes have killed hundreds of civilians in Pakistan, Georgetown professor Christine Fair cites US and Pakistani officials who claim that's not true.
