Overlooked during the election campaigns: government surveillance

Utterly absent from the national debate surrounding the presidential elections yesterday was any mention of the ongoing and worsening federal attacks on our personal privacy.

NSA whistleblower William (Bill) Binney spoke with journalists last night about why spying and surveillance were not high profile campaign issues, and what we can do to raise them to the level of national debate.
