Back in the first few weeks of the Occupy Wall Street movement, we heard strange rumors circulating on Twitter suggesting that the NYPD had used some kind of strobe light to prevent journalists from filming them. Then Russia Today released this video, proving the allegations were true:

Turns out that what people were calling a strobe light may have been an LED incapacitator, a tool developed by a firm called "Intelligent Optical Systems" through a DHS grant. The LCD incapacitator can temporarily blind people and induce nausea and disorientation in its victims. Take a look at the company's promotional video below.
