Could the police have stopped the Boston bombing from happening had they put real resources into investigating a gruesome triple murder that took place in 2011, instead of allegedly waiting around for someone to confess? It's possible. And why should we accept more surveillance when seriously conducted murder investigations would go so much farther to keep us safe from crime and terrorism?

Rachel Maddow digs into a truly bizarre story, featuring Tamerlan Tsarnaev and Ibragim Todashev, as well as a host of troubling, unanswered questions. This should be a national scandal. Kudos to Maddow for taking these issues on. Read more about it here.
